SUMMARY

Tim Anders is a Master Planner /  Scheduler - SME with 30 years ‘of hands-on’ experience in the installation of pipeline refinery expansions, SURF, midstream & upstream oil and gas industry scheduling , managing projects and project controls for a variety of SURF installations and surface projects,  including fabrication. Tim not only has been the look – ahead installation Interface Planner for the many different spreads of SURF and pipelines; he has also been the project manager’s eyes and ears for resource of installation shortages. Tim takes the next step with the fabrications shops to find out a ROS date directly from each resource shortage or vendor (i.e. Spools, Steel, Blow-Off Preventer, and Trees)). Tim is also an expert in Pipeline & Offshore Installations as well as API standards, Interface project coordination; SURF Installation, forecasting, and scheduling and has spent 27 years in Planning Management. Tim has unique hands on knowledge of facilities to complement his fabrication, engineering and management skills. Tim has worked International Expat and Domestic- W. Africa in Nigeria, Lagos, and Snake Island also in Equatorial Guinea & Gulf of Mexico.

Top side interface coordinator between owner (Chevron) and the Fabricator (GMF).  I was assigned to the Process Module - Main Deck, Mezzanine Deck and the Production Deck. Daily fabrication updates reported from interface to the construction staff of Chevron and GMF of the fabrication of primary steel, secondary steel, piping, oil production equipment and E & I.

Collected the essential information necessary to generate reports and progress of work to interface the schedule with the project budget. Analyze accuracy of schedules submitted by outside parties contributing to the Thunder Horse.

 

Chevron Nigeria West Africa Gas Pipeline (WAGP)

(2003 to 2006) -Fabrication offshore and onshore for the 678 kilometers (421 mi) long pipeline from the gas reserves in Nigeria's Escravos region of Niger Delta area to Benin, Togo and Ghana. It is the first regional natural gas transmission system in sub-Saharan Africa.  Project Controls Manager of Schedulers Quality Surveyors, Cost Controls, Contracts Assistant and Sub Contractor Administrator.

(1997 to 1997) Topside decks including detailed engineering, procurement, fabrication, hook-up and pre-commissioning assistance for a new compression platform.

 

 

Zafiro Gas Project, Gulf

, (1995 to 1996) Sub-sea facilities consisting of eight sub-sea trees arranged on 2-well flow-line loops, 24 miles of 6 inch flow-lines, 12 miles of control umbilical, 8 flexible risers and 4 dynamic umbilical risers. For design simplicity and flexibility, field proven equipment and methods were employed wherever possible, leading to the use of a "standard" 4 by 2 subsea tree design, a direct hydraulic control system and chokes located aboard the FPSO.

 

Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation FPSO (1993 to 1995) Installation of flowlines and risers to FPSO.

 

Amerada Hess Bioko Island, Mobil Nigeria, Shell Amberjack and Manta Ray Expansions (1989 to 1993)  Duties included developing work packages, specifying equipment deliverable of selected vendors for contracts, and expediting equipment.  The Bioko Island project included detailed engineering and schedule of eight flexible risers connecting sub-sea flow lines to the 2 TLPs in water depths of 920 feet and 1,640 feet, respectively, and a 12-inch oil export flexible riser connecting to an FPSO in 320 feet water depth. Scope included tube and hang-off design review, static, clashing and extreme events dynamic analysis to establish riser configurations, bend curve stability and routing, interface loads and bend stiffener requirements, and finalization of the flexible riser specification. Work scope also included procurement package engineering and installation support.

 

1983 – 1989 – Marlin Offshore International LTD

Planning/Scheduling Engineer

Responsible for Drilling Rig Refurbishments, planning, scheduling, and maintaining all schedules dealing with engineering, procurement, steel replacement, mechanical upgrades and commissioning on the Self Erecting Tender Assisted drilling unit, WD Kent, Searex IX, The Charley Graves Refurbishment /Upgrade Projects.
